Client: The Happening
The Happening is a dance studio located in Vancouver, BC. The Happening, run by Kim Stevenson, gives dancers a broadened view of dance education from qualified and energetic professionals. From the little ones to high school students, there’s a class catered for each age group to love and enjoy.
Purpose: The Happening Promo Video was created to capture what makes The Happening Studio so unique and wonderful. It showcases a wide range of students, all with their own peronal style. The narrative communicates the sense of belonging dancers feel being part of the studio and that it truly is a place where all are for dance and dance is for all.
Client: Island Health
Island Health provides health care services through a network of hospitals, clinics, centres, health units, and residential care locations. They serve more than 794,000 people on Vancouver Island, the islands in the Salish Sea and the Johnstone Strait, and the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet.
Purpose: This video tells the candid story of the brave and caring nurses and doctors working in the emergency and ICU areas of hospitals across Vancouver Island. This video played at the Vancouver Island Emergency and Critical Care Conference in June 2019. We wanted caregivers at the conference to feel united, proud and spark a fresh sense of inspiration about what they do.
Client: ISSofBC and Vancity Credit Union
Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC) provides a supportive environment for newcomers to Canada of all backgrounds. We are here to meet your settlement, English language and employment needs.
Purpose: This video tells the story of ISSofBC’s partnership with Vancity to offer wrap-around support for newcomers and refugees. This partnership started with listening, which led to creating services that meet people where they are at. The work showcased in this video is only just the beginning of this partnership!
Client: Mission Possible (MP)
Since 1992 Mission Possible has walked alongside people challenged by homelessness and poverty. Through its employment readiness program and social enterprises Mission Possible is transforming lives by helping people experience a renewed sense of dignity and purpose through meaningful work.
Purpose: This piece was created as a fundraising video for MP's annual Gala. We followed the story of one man, Chris Reed and the change he's experience while working with MP. He's one out of thousands of lives that have been impacted by their great work.
Client: Canuck Place
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, located in Vancouver, BC, is North America’s first free-standing children’s hospice. They responded to the need for a hospice created specifically for children. Canuck Place provides leadership in improving pediatric palliative care regionally, nationally and internationally through collaboration, education and research.
Purpose: A Message from Canuck Place Families video was created to introduce families who are experiencing a life-altering illness of a child to the services that Canuck Place offers.
Client: Nettle's Tale Swimwear creates locally made, thoughtfully designed swimsuits for women from all walks of life. 20-somethings, 50-somethings, students or seniors, lean or athletic, pear-shaped or hourglass, petite or plus-sized... you name it, they have it.
Purpose: Nettle’s Tale uses everyday women as the models for all of there branding. We wanted to capture some stories from these amazing women and hear why they think they would make a good model. We wanted other woman who watch the video to think “If they can do it, I could do it!”
Client: Emmanuel Home
Emmanuel Home is a Christian Senior Citizens Home in Northern Alberta. They believe in a communal responsibility to care for the seniors by providing facilities for their use and benefit.
Purpose: Emmanuel Home video was created to introduce seniors to a communal way of living within a Christian environment.
Domain7 is a digital transformation agency. They specialize in smart digital solutions to grow organizations, connect communities, and make the world a better place - created collaboratively with their clients.
Purpose: The Design Thinking Day video was created to showcase Domain7's immersive design thinking workshop during Marketing Week Vancouver. Domain7's design thinking experts gave participants a chance to experience design thinking by leading them through hands-on exercises.
Client: John Volken Academy
JVA is holistic, long-term recovery program. Using a Therapeutic Community model they journey alongside individuals and help them overcome addiction.
Purpose: To highlight a story of hope within the organization to inspire others to take the next step and apply.
Client: Village Church
This is a story video based on the experience of the Cunningham's and the challenges of their second child. From being told that the baby would likely not survive past birth, to almost terminating the pregnancy, to having the baby girl still with them half a year later --the Cunningham's have learned a massive amount about trusting God's sovereignty through struggle. And they are continuing to trust even without resolution. Lumina is a miracle, and every second they have with her a miracle.
The name "Lumina" means a portion of light from the source of light
Client: Roland Canada
A leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic musical instruments, including keyboards and synthesizers.
GRAMMY® and Juno® award-winning conductor/composer Bramwell Tovey is the Music Director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Artistic Adviser of the VSO School of Music, a state-of-the-art facility and recital hall which opened in downtown Vancouver in 2011 next to the Orpheum, the VSO's historic home.
Purpose: To Capture Bramwell Tovey's view on the importance of the digital piano and how it impacts individuals and groups.
Client: Raintree is Cambodia's first boutique office development that takes a fresh development approach to workspace design. Situated in the heart of Phnom Penh's central business and banking district, the award-winning Raintree project houses 3000 square metres of flexible office space, complemented by a loft event space and outdoor terrace. The project serves a diverse community of professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs.
Client: Up Conference
Up Conference is an event for freelancers, consultants, contractors and moonlighters.
An event to focus on solo business, connect with peers and share experiences and wisdoms with those who have celebrated successes and experienced failures.
We created a few videos featuring local soloprenuers and their learnings over the years. The last video was used for the conference introduction.
BOSS is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic musical products, including pedals and amplifiers.
Ryan Dahle is a Canadian musician, best known for his contributions to the bands Age of Electric, Limblifter and Mounties.
Purpose: Purpose: Musical instrument experts BOSS, are long time admirers of the Canadian guitar icon and wanted to sit down to chat about his music career and love of his much used DS-1 collection. Our video production team was thrilled to jump at the chance to capture Ryan Dahle hard at work in his Vancouver studio as a musician and producer.
Client: Dalit Freedom Network Canada
Dalit Freedom Network Canada is a group of Canadians joining hands with an international network of people who care about India’s oppressed Dalits. They strive to free the Dalits through education and empowerment.
Purpose: Freedom to Dream features Supna, a grade 10 student with big dreams for her future.
Client: Mekong Homes
Mekong Homes is a Cambodia based Affordable Housing project started by brothers that work across the building industry from research, design, engineering, manufacturing and assembly. They wanted had a desire to provide dignified living opportunities for people living in rural areas. This is their idea.
Purpose: This video was created to spread the word about the project and peak interest from key investors. Local charities and micro-finance opportunities that will want to partner in the future.
